Get ready to make a splash for a great cause! The Polar Bear Plunge 2026 is coming to Seaside Heights on Saturday, March 14nd, and it’s your chance to be a hero in icy waters. This annual event isn’t just about braving the cold Atlantic – it’s a heartwarming opportunity to support Special Olympics New Jersey (SONJ) and make a real difference in people’s lives.

What is the Polar Bear Plunge?

A Tradition of Success

The Polar Bear Plunge has become an iconic winter tradition in New Jersey. In 2025, the event saw unprecedented success, with over 8,000 participants braving the icy waters. This massive turnout resulted in an astounding $2.5 million raised, surpassing all previous records. These funds are crucial for supporting SONJ athletes, providing essential resources for sports training, competitions, and health screenings.
